About Us
Karnataka Vikalachetanara Sanghatane (KVS)
Karnataka Vikalachetanara Sanghatane (KVS) is a nonprofit organization established in the year 2012 in Chikkaballapur District, Karnataka. We aim to strengthen the democratic community-based organization of disabled people in Chikkaballapur District using a rights-based approach to access and claim rights and entitlements from the state through public action. Our Objectives: 1. Educating all categories of differently-abled persons of Chikkaballapur district about their rights and entitlements – especially women and Dalits. 2. Organize as a democratic, transparent advocacy organization. 3. Monitor the human rights situation of persons with disabilities, especially women and Dalits, and work to ensure that their rights are not violated in their quest for justice, including using the media for this purpose. 4. Sensitization and networking with other like-minded NGOs and CBOs in the district on the issues of people with disabilities.

To organize and empower people with disability to protect and advance the rights of adults and children who have disabilities, so that they can freely exercise their own life choices, live without discrimination and exclusion, enforce their rights, and fully participate in community life.
Our Programs
Empowering Persons with Disabilities
We empower people with disabilities for their rightful place in society by enabling them through rehabilitation services, promoting their rights, and advocating policies for an integrated ecosystem that includes Chikkaballapur district.
Awareness Program for PwDs
Awareness was created in 6 taluks about the rights of disabled persons, disabled women, disabled drivers and operators in Chikkaballapur. We have reached 2200 people through these programs.
